Tedora M. Brown: Leading with Vision and Purpose

Tedora M Brown serves as the president of Scottland Construction Corporation, the umbrella organization for Scottland-related businesses. Chief Executive Officer of OLG Financing Inc., a national online bank that provides second chances to those who are not graced with one. Founder of Women in Construction Corporation of Illinois, a company where women can learn to develop real estate, become an investor, a contractor, or develop a trade. As such, she is responsible for all operational and strategic leadership of all the organizations, business development, negotiations, licensing, endorsements, and asset acquisitions for all the entities.

Brown says, “I never thought of a career in construction, after understanding the grace for the people, I asked God to show me how to master this so I can help others. That’s what He (GOD) did.”

“Building affordable homes to custom homes and then commercial building- at that point, I had no choice but to get more and more education and resources in this construction field,” says Brown.

Scottland Development

Brown has been instrumental in growing all Scottland businesses and brands. Under her leadership, the company’s portfolio has expanded tremendously. Because of her passion for people and the need to help others gain ownership and another chance after failing the odds, she and her board members have breathed life into OLG FINANCING.

“Building Generational Wealth and community budgeting is my ultimate goal,” says Brown. She has additional partnerships selected by corporations that help bring quality and convenience to urban communities in several states.

Brown spearheaded the launch of several major initiatives. Tedora M. Brown Enterprises, LTD, which she is currently the CEO of. A huge success: Her staffing agency is one of the few Staffing Agencies servicing women and men, providing a second chance for all.

Brown launched The Dramon World Foundation est2015 after her 13yr old son passed away on the basketball court due to a heart condition (myocarditis) The village of Bolingbrook would never be forgotten, says Brown. Bolingbrook was our village our home and our community and I will always be grateful.

Her son “Dramon Ratcliff” The DRAMON WORLD FOUNDATION committed to solving educational, health, and heart-related challenges in urban communities.

She has a vision and a mission to create a legacy for her children and the community through education, training, and being a living example of never giving up.

While leading the Foundation,Brown developed Ratcliff Solutions Scholarship programs, which allows kids from K5 – 2nd grade to stay in a private Christian school setting as they graduate from preschool. She is also the founder of Little Shepherds Academy, which was established in 2005, Little Shepherds Beginners est 2008, and Naperville Montessori Academy est 2015, which provides early childhood development to all children in an exquisite way.

Brown is a successful entrepreneur who is seasoned with a spirit of caring and concern for the people who face the challenges of financial struggles and diminished credit status. “I know how it is to fall from financial grace. I also know a myriad of methods to redeem yourself and work through the dilemma that often faces people who want to start or hold on to their businesses,” she says confidently.

Although she is saturated in the business world, her primary goal is to offer a torch to her children and to other businessmen and women who want to leave a legacy of accomplished dreams for their lineage.

“Marriage and motherhood are extremely important to me. I believe business is an expression of love when it is passed through generations. This is what I believe God wants me to do. With the obedience, honor, and love for God, overflow will continue to prosper in my life.”

Brown is married to (Christopher Scott Sr.) has four living children one child proceeded death one grandchild. “When I made my first million, I told my mom and God, I’m going to show the people what I know,” says Brown. “Leaving generational wealth to not only my family but to all who is willing to do the work,” she says.

Tedora M Brown has since established 2 subdivisions. One with 12 townhomes and the other with eight single family homes. Out of 20 of the new construction homes, proudly 17 are homeowners. She’s proud to be a businesswoman.

Most recently, she established Brown Publishing Incorporated and penned her first book, “The Power of Approval: Overcoming Adversity to Achieve Greatness,” and has appeared on Oprah Winfrey Network’s “THE BELLE COLLECTIVES,” ABC7, NBC5, WCIU, FM Omni, and Inspiration 1390. Her contributions have earned her recognition as a Chicago Defender Women of Excellence in 2023.

Brown graduated in 2004 with an Associate degree in Arts in Elementary Education from Harold Washington then progressed to Roosevelt University in 2006.
